Training on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) UN Agenda 2030 to the Network of Interfaith Leaders in Tanzania held at Loyal Village Hotel, Dodoma 28-30 / 06/2021.
The training was conducted by Waking the Giant Initiative Tanzania being coordinated by Norwegian Church Aid. The main goal is to empower interfaith leaders on self assessment and integrating their work with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (UN Agenda 2030).
One of the action points is to establish and strengthen the Youth Interfaith Committees (YIC) in various regions in Tanzania.
Evening session with at least 500 youth including children at the Cathedral of the ELCT Diocese of Iringa DIRA with an emphasize on CCT day and SDG.

Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania was appointed to assume to role of a Convener assumed by Mr.
Simon Daffi (Deputy General Secretary-Planning and Development) whereas Evangelical Lutheran Church in America represented by the Regional Representative
Mr. Daudi Msseemmaa was appointed as Co-convener. The role of the Forum Recording Secretary has been merged among the roles of the Forum National Coordinator
Rev. Modest Pesha. The Christian Council of Tanzania is the Host Organization for the Forum and was represented by Mrs. Clotilda Ndezi (Director of Programmes and Development)
and Mr. Godlisten Moshi (Human Resource Manager) to the meeting. The General Secretary for ELCT Mr. Brighton Kilewa attended the meeting acknowledging the appointment whereas
Pauliina Parhiala, Country Director for Norwegian Church Aid (outgoing Convener) attended the meeting online and lead the handing over session on behalf on the outgoing
secretariat. ACT Tanzania Forum implement 3 main thematic areas that include Humanitarian services, Advocacy and Development being composed of 10 members; ELCT, ELCA, CCT,
TCRS, FELM, LWR, CWS, Mission 21,
Act CoS and NCA whereas LMC and Dan mission are the forum observers.
