The group is empowered by CCT through a USAID-funded sustainable nutrition project.

Tupendane is a group that has been visited by CCT Secretary General Rev.Canon Dr. Moses Matonya to see the activities they are performing.

Sustainable Nutrition has been providing community nutrition education especially to women of childbearing age, teenagers of puberty and men to overcome the problem of stunting in children under two years of age and anemia in pregnant mothers.

Communities are taught to focus on the production and consumption of vegetable crops for the purpose of promoting health.
